Leigh Spinners Introducing ‘Showtime’ and ‘Ecofelt’
Carpets are reported to constitute around 10% of all waste currently sent to landfill and the ‘Events’ industry contributes a substantial proportion to this waste. With the number of new sites decreasing, the problem of what to do with carpet that is no longer required is becoming more urgent.
In answer to this problem Leigh Spinners has developed 'Showtime' and 'Ecofelt', which are recyclable floor coverings specifically designed for the Events industry. After they have completed their short lifespan, they can be uplifted and recycled into polypropylene chips and used for a variety of new uses in the plastics industry. Leigh Spinners is committed to helping the environment and even sends its manufacturing process waste to equestrian venues around the country to be used again. We are aiming to do all we can to help prevent today’s waste becoming tomorrow’s problem.
