‘podpads’
Firmly establishing their place in the arena of fancy/posh/boutique-camping or “glamping” as it has become collectively known, the ‘podpads’ return to The Showman’s Show 2007.
The ‘podpad’ introduces a bit of luxury as well as quirkiness into the field of on-site event accommodation and offers a real hassle-free alternative to camping, bunkabins or off-site hotels.
The ‘podpad’, solidly constructed from 18mm plywood is waterproof, secure, comfortable and soundproof. Each ‘podpad’ comes pre-decorated with groundsheet, fitted carpet, shelving, tinted windows, curtains, vanity mirror and a selection of raised beds with mattresses and a lockable front door. Add to this an interior strip-light and a 12v accessories socket, all solar powered by the iconic Sunflower solar panels and you have an ecologically friendly onsite solution to your accommodation questions.
The
‘podpad’ crew will deliver, build and manage the ‘podpads’ village throughout
your event liaising with guests at a personal level before, during and after
as required. Collection and total site clearance swiftly follows.
‘Podpads’ have grown up in the festival circuit but, are ideal also for private parties, corporate and sporting events, themed weddings, etc. To date, ‘Podpads’ have played host to many recognized celebs and corporates, including Microsoft, Virgin Mobile and Samsung in 2007.
Looking ahead to 2008, the ‘podpads’ team are already designing and developing the new Mark2 ‘podpad’ offering increased space and more facilities again.
