Pavilion Marquees - Return to Traditional Values with a Modern Twist!

Events companies are always on the lookout for a unique marquee structure to give them an ‘edge’.  Even better if they can find one which doesn’t cost the earth!  Better still if they can use some of their existing equipment and combine it with a new Marquee structure!!

To provide them with just that, BARKERS Marquees are introducing their Pavilion Marquee at The Showman’s Show.  The Pavilion Marquee addresses the traditional or ‘Retro’ market by using wood and polycotton materials, in a modern way.

What are Pavilion Marquees?

Pavilion Marquees are Wooden Framed Clearspan Marquees that use a keder system to attach fabrics to framework.  The keder (or beading), attached to fabric sheets feeds, through a channel on the framework giving a tight, draught free, professional finish.

These structures combine traditional, natural materials such as wood and polycotton to give a traditional or ‘Retro’ feel whilst maintaining the flexibility of framed structures.

Attractive wooden framework is made from high quality softwood (Redwood Pine) or hardwood (Ash), sourced from Europe.  The timber is sustainable sourced (FSC), pressure treated and certified against rot and infestation. 

The roof and wall sheets are available in Polycotton or PVC.  Both are fire retardant, UV stabilised and low wick.  Due to the flexibility of the design, companies can use their own or buy new.

BARKERS Marquees has made permanent wooden Clear Span Frame Marquees for many years, using a Keder System.  Due to demand BARKERS Marquees has now developed a semi-permanent version called a Pavilion Marquee.  This has been designed for the rigours of the marquee hire and events market.

Pavilion Marquees are available in the following configurations:

  • 3m, 4.5m, and 6m spans.
  • 3m bays are available for all spans
  • 4.5m bays are available for 3m and 4.5m spans only.

The Pavilion Marquees are sold either:

  • Complete with wooden framework & keder system, fabric walls and roofs plus steel joints and baseplates; or
  • Framework only.  The framework can be manufactured to accommodate either 7mm or 11mm keder and varying eave heights, so is fully compatible with leading Marquee Manufacturers’ wall and roof sheets.
