Recycling Of PVC Tent Covers

U.K’s leading marquee and cover manufacturer, J & J Carter, has taken on board the environmental initiative to offer recycling of PVC tent covers for the marquee rental industry. Currently some covers are reused as general tarpaulins; however, some are sadly ending up in landfill.  Whilst landfill is still relatively affordable, it is not an environmental solution.  J & J Carter has teamed up with a specialist recycling company, who in partnership can provide the environmental answer to the renters’ issues.

Redundant covers are simply sent to J & J Carter’s depot in Basingstoke, where they have any metallic fittings removed, baled, and sent to the recycling centre. At the recycling centre the bales are ground down to pellet form.  These pellets are typically mixed with virgin grade PVC in the manufacture of other industrial products.  This way the PVC tent panel gets a second life without impacting the environment.

J & J Carter manufacture not only replacement marquee covers and panels, but also complete structures from 2m span walkway to 25m span clearspan pavilion with Pagoda options.  A range of aluminium semi-permanent industrial halls are available from 5 to 20m span with single skin or insulated cladding.

J & J Carter is used to operating to tight deadlines and as such can help you meet those last minute bespoke requirements.

J & J are exhibiting  at The  Showman’s Show, located on stand 25 in the exhibition hall.  Please visit the stand and find out how they can help you meet environmental objectives as well as providing you with the latest rental equipment.
